Lunch Clubs
Started in 1981 the Lunch clubs are held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Volunteers prepare a hot meal for elderly people. Some of the members manage to walk to lunch, while others are collected in one of our new minibuses belonging to Pitsmoor and Shiregreen Community Transport.

We always welcome new members. If you, a friend, a family members or a neighbour would like to try out the Lunch clubs then please contact Gwen Lucraft, the Lunch club coordinator.

As well as the meal on Thursdays there is an informal social afternoon, where many of the Lunch club members stay for a longer chat and a game of cards or whatever.

Occasional trips out and people coming in to speak or demonstrate also add to the variety.
